There is one pattern and Sherry shows you how to adapt it to get the different looks through costuming. The pattern can be done as a mannequin on a wooden dowel base, with legs, or with a nice stump base. These are all the looks you see Sherry creating for her own dolls.
Sherry also has a pressmold to go with this book, BUT...she includes instructions for an all cloth head in the book if you prefer that look.
The workbook was edited by Kate Erbach, is 31 pages and is spiral bound 8 1/2" x 11" For the large patterns the book is arranged so you can trace the full size pieces and tape them together...you do not need to enlarge pieces.

Trinket

Trinket the Bold (as her friends call her) is made from heavily dyed muslin. Her face is needle-sculpted with tiny black seed beads for eyes. Her nose is made from black crochet thread and the whiskers are sisal rope. Trinket is wearing a dyed-maize colored flannel dress with a dyed cheesecloth apron and she carries her book. Her hat is a rusty colored wool felt. She is weighted on the bottom so she stands securely wherever she is.

Jinx

Jinx is the cutest little guy. He is made out of warm and natural that has been chalked with multiple colors, and then a coffee/vanilla spray was used to enhance the color. His nose curls up with laughter at his new conquest, getting the cheese! He has tiny little black beads for eyes. His nose is stitched and his whiskers are sisal fibers.
You can place him in a mouse trap or a tea cup or maybe a bowl of fruit! The cheese in the photo is made of paper clay and painted..no instructions for this are given..just use your imagination!
Though this is a simple pattern itself, Pam gives you instructions on using chalks on his body and how to finish him up nicely.

Pack Rabbit

Zeb is a 14" freestanding rabbit. He is made from muslin that has gone through a few different dyeing processes. The muzzle and the wool nose have been stitched on. His eyes are painted and the lids have been stitched on over the eyes. Zeb's whiskers are made from horse hair.
The basket that Zeb carries on his back is made from muslin that has been woven, waxed and dyed. Inside the basket is dried Easter grass. His carrot is made from painted muslin and has a dyed cheesecloth top.

Her body is made from a low stretch fabric, her eyes are buttons and her mouth row of French knots. She wears shorts with an elasticized waist and a lace trimmed blouse done up at the back with velcro dots. She is ready for tree climbing at the drop of her gathered skirt (also done up with velcro). She has button trimmed knees and elbows, and sewn in boots. Her hair is made with plaited yarn, decorated with buttons stitched with linen thread. Hannie-Mavis cuddles her much loved pet rooster for which the pattern is included.
