The Dodo Warrior

Oh my, are we going to have fun with this pattern!!!
The pattern does include the dodo bird, His face is a lycra overlay, coloured with oil pastels , his body is made from mohair, the type you use for a teddy bear. The pattern also includes the saddle instructions and of course the warrior.
The warrior's helmet is made from super sculpey, His hands are very small so Suzette also included instructions for a mitt hand, if turning tiny fingers are a problem.
His face is a lycra overlay as well. The whole complete doll stands about 50cm.

The fabric I have used is not stretch, he has wired sculpey claws and teeth , his belly and under feet are made from barramundi (an Australian fish) BUT you can use whatever you have available that looks like "fish"!
Arms and Legs are button jointed, and wings are fully wired so they can be posed. Ive put my favourite armature through the body, so he can move his neck and tail in many positions. This dragon is very very posable and its up to the maker how they have him , whether it be sitting , squatting ,or standing really tall. He is about 18" tall. The eyes are made from scratch again and put into the head.

This pattern has more overlay techniques in it than her leprechaun and the eyes have been made from scratch as well. The armature she used through the arm is porcelain doll skeleton. It is excellent for posing and so easy to work with.
